Delayed till tomorrow

We’ve delayed the podcast till tomorrow. Sorry about that, but circumstances were out of our hands today. We’ll be recording tomorrow evening and releasing afterwards. We’ll also be dedicating the podcast to the new Star Trek movie. Myself and Marko have avoided absolutely any conversation about it, as we want the podcast to be as fresh and fly as possible.

The podcast will be filled with spoilers, so you have been warned!!

PS3/PS2 to have Timed Exclusivity to Ghostbusters the Video Game in PAL regions

ps3ghostbusters

Sony announced that the PS3 and PS2 will get the Ghostbusters video game on June 19th to coincide with the BluRay release of the original movie.
They also announced that the originally scrapped PSP Ghostbusters game will get a release some time in the Autumn.

However, for PAL regions, gamers will have to wait for a currently unspecified amount of time before the game is released on other platforms. Other regions need not worry.

One wonders exactly what their marketing strategy is exactly… might they have alienated the 21+ year olds without PS3’s who have been eagerly awaiting for this games release next month?

Will this timed exclusivity in PAL regions shift a few more PS3’s for impatient Ghostbuster fanatics?
Only time will tell.

For now, everyone without a PS3 and without the money to acquire one will have to get together for group therapy to try and heal the wounds caused by this news.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade set for September US Release

muramasa

Ignition Entertainment have announced that Muramasa: The Demon Blade (otherwise known as Oboro Muramasa In Japan) will be released on the Nintendo Wii in North America in September this year.

Muramasa is a stylised 2D side scrolling Action RPG set in feudal Japan, and the game draws its inspiration from Japanese history and mythology. You follow two characters as they travel in opposite directions across Honshu collecting. and forging Katanas along the way.

The game offers three different modes to match three different styles of playing. Unmatched focuses on character levelling, Carnage focuses more on the action and Insane Death mode, which has to be unlocked, sets your characters HP to 1 throughout the entire game.
The Wii remote and Nunchuck can be used to control the characters, or alternatively, the Classic Controller or Gamecube Controller for the more action based modes.

A European release date is set for some time in 2010.

Electronic Arts and Double Fine Productions announced today that Brütal Legend will be set for release in the UK on October 16th 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Brütal Legend is about roadie Eddie Riggs who has an accident on stage that knocks him unconcious. When he awakens, he is in a world where the album covers and lyrics of heavy metal songs are a reality.
The last of the human race have been enslaved by a demonic army, and it is up to Eddie Riggs (voiced, and apparantly modeled off, Jack Black) to save them.

The website has been re-launched [http://www.brutallegend.com] and you can also keep up to date with the Brütal Legend Twitter [http://twitter.com/brutallegend]
